Peebles pipe band competition. What a trophy haul and fantastic way to end the season!!
It’s always an emotional day for us as an organisation as we say goodbye to those who are leaving the band. We also get to welcome new members to the band as we bring our development band. Almost all members of the development band are new and had never competed before, so hats (glengarrys) off to them. We’re proud of them all. 👏🏻👏🏻
We said goodbye to long serving tenor drummer Ailis B and piper Tom F. Both have been a credit to the band and are in inspiration to those coming through. We wish them both the very best in their futures.
We also said goodbye to our outgoing piping and drumming interns Adam Davanna and William Paul. Both have been outstanding during their time with us and they have left very big shows to fill for our new apprentices. We will release info on our new 24/25 apprentices this week.
We also give out awards to our most improved piper and drummer for the year. This year the drumming award went to Rachel W and the piping award went to Callum R. Both have shown impressive levels of improvement and are an inspiration to all members of the band. Well done to you both. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
