Preston Lodge High School hosted the 2019 East Lothian Solo Piping and Drumming on the morning of Saturday 23rd February. There were over 60 performance across 8 categories from pupils from all over East Lothian.
The adjudicators were Craig Munro, John McCarlie and Tom Speirs for piping and Jim Kilpatrick for Drumming. They commented on how impressed they were with the high standard of performance in all categories. Refreshments were served to a large audience of spectators, which together with raffle and Tombolas raised the band over £850. Prizes were sponsored by Wallace Bagpipes, Kilberry Bagpipes, Jim Kilpatrick and Premier Percussion. Results were as follows:
