At the weekend we took our novice A and juvenile bands over the water to take part in the UK Pipe Band Championships on the 13th of June in Belfast.

We left Prestonpans on the Friday morning and spent afternoon at the jungle to take part in various activities. It was good fun and the food was brilliant.

We took part in the competition on the Saturday and achieved the below results.

NOVICE A BAND – 3rd Place

JUVENILE BAND – 2nd Place overall 1st Place for Drumming

We then went back to our hostel and had a MASSIVE BBQ. A huge thank you to Ivor Moore and the team for preparing this for our return. It was amazing and all of the staff and pupils loved it. It was a great way to finish off what had been a great day.

Thank you as always to our family and band supporters. It was amazing to see so many friends, family and parents making the trip over to support the band. Your support means the world the band members and also to the tutors. We have a weekend off from competitions before we head to Perth for the final contest before summer holidays. We’ll hopefully see lots of you there.
