The band had some solo piping and drumming success at the European Solo Snare and Tenor Drumming Championships and Kingdom Thistle solo piping event held at Lochgelly High School on the 29th April 2024.

Tenor drummer Kayla won Section E of the tenor drumming event to become the RSPBA European solo drumming champion. Kayla adds this win to the RSPBA Scottish solo drumming championship win. She is on a roll.

Pictured above is Charlie. M who came 4th in the 16 and under piping competition. Charlie is having a good solo year so far having won prizes in all other solo competitions so far.

The tenor drummers couldn’t compete without a piper and a snare drummer. Pictured above is drumming tutor Simon Grant and piper Kirsten. G who played alongside Kayla. That’s now two in a row for this team. Well done.

The band now look forward to 4 weeks of preparation in the lead up to the UK Pipe Band Championships on the 18th of May in Bangor N.I.
