He went on to develop his skills with the Johnstone Pipe Band, progressing from Grade 4B to Grade 1. Andrew has since returned to the Govan Pipe Band, where he now serves as Pipe Sergeant and tutor for their recently promoted grade 3B band.

As part of his fourth-year studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Andrew will be taking on an apprentice tutor role at Preston Lodge High School. He looks forward to working with the Novice B band during the 2025–2026 season.
