On the 29th of March our 3 pipe bands competed at the branch indoor solos and band competition in Livingston. The competition comprised of band events, solo piping and the first major solo drumming championship of the year, the Scottish solo snare and tenor drumming championships. Results for those who won a prize in the drumming events are below.
- 14 and Under Snare MSR – 2nd Place – Aaron. S
- 14 and Under Snare MSR – 6th Place – Rachel. W
- 14 and Under Tenor MSR – 2nd Place – Kian. B
- 14 and Under Tenor MSR – 4th Place – Ellie. H
- 18 and Under Tenor MSR – 2nd Place – Kayla. M

- Solo Piping 14 to 16 – 1st Place – Charlie. M
- Solo Piping 16 to 18 – 3rd Place – Angus. JS
- Solo Piping 16 to 18 – 4th Place – Jamie. C
Our Novice B band and Novice A band never managed to feature in the prize list this time. Both bands are improving and are on the right path.
Our juvenile band came 3rd in the juvenile grade and finished 4th in grade 2.
We now look forward to the RSPBA European Solo Snare and Tenor Drumming Championships on the 5th of May. There will also be solo piping competitions during the day but no band competition.
