Chloe began learning with the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band but soon joined Mackenzie Caledonian in Dundee where she spent a year in the novice grade before being asked to join the grade two band at age of twelve, their youngest drummer in the band’s existence. Chloe then moved back to her hometown pipe band for a year- Vale of Atholl Pipe Band in grade one while undertaking her school exams before being asked to join Scottish Power Pipe Band.
Since joining Scottish Power, at the age of 15, Chloe was their youngest and first female snare drummer in the band’s 30 years of existence. Scottish Power Pipe Band has a reputation for producing some of the most top-quality drumming and band performances, resulting in the band consistently placing in the top six at pipe band competitions for many years. Chloe has won several prizes at the major championships including British Champions, Scottish Drumming Champions and runners up at the Scottish Championships as a pipe band.
As for solo success, Chloe has won many local branch competitions, 4 international wins alongside a World Solo Drumming Championship win in 2015.
As for teaching, Chloe has held and taught at workshops in Spain, Germany and across Scotland and currently also teaches her own private students throughout the week.
Chloe is going into her fourth and final year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, (BMus Traditional Music) where she will gain an honours degree.
